iSQI, DiversIT, Improve QS, BNTQB and ISTQB are joining their forces days before Christmas for a good cause: they have organized a training on the fundamentals of software testing, for refugees who are settling in the Netherlands. This initiative offers motivated and educated people various opportunities in the Dutch IT-market.
The parties involved want to show that we care for a lot more than testing - says Pascal Maus from Improve QS. "My motivation is people. I want to offer them a successful life changing opportunity", says Co Meerveld, the experienced IT Manager who founded DiversIT. iSQI is very happy to participate in this initiative, and give these motivated participants an opportunity to start a new career.
iSQI contributes to this project with the innovative ISTQB / Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) exams, which lay the foundation for software testers. The certification is internationally recognized and serves as proof of expertise in the field of software testing. The participants will learn about all the steps involved in the software testing process, from planning through to implementation and the evaluation of software tests. After approving the first level, they will also have the opportunity to gain further certificates (Advanced and Expert level). ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level certification is relevant for all fields, e.g. in the automotive industry, in the finance sector, in the computer software and IT industries, in medical technology, telecommunications, the public sector and many more.
The organizing party of the initiative is DiversIT, Improve QS will deliver the training, and iSQI, BNTQB, and ISTQB together will offer the exams and will host the exam session for the candidates. The training will run in Utrecht with 16 participants and is planned on the 10th of December. The exams will be provided by iSQI on the 14th.

iSQI ondersteunt initiatief om vluchtelingen kans te bieden op de Nederlandse IT-arbeidsmarkt
iSQI, DiversIT, Improve QS, BNTQB en ISTQB bundelen hun krachten in de dagen voor Kerstmis voor het goede doel: zij hebben een training georganiseerd over de grondbeginselen van software testen, voor vluchtelingen die zich in Nederland vestigen. Dit initiatief biedt gemotiveerde, goed opgeleide mensen verschillende kansen op de Nederlandse IT- arbeidsmarkt.
„De betrokken partijen willen laten zien dat we om veel meer geven dan testen alleen“, zegt Pascal Maus van Improve QS. „Mijn motivatie is mensen. Ik wil hen een kans bieden om hun leven succesvol te veranderen „, zegt Co Meerveld, de ervaren IT-manager die DiversIT oprichtte.
iSQI draagt bij aan dit project met de innovatieve ISTQB / Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) examens, die de basis leggen voor softwaretesters. De certificering is internationaal erkend en dient als bewijs van deskundigheid op het gebied van softwaretesting. De deelnemers leren over alle stappen die gepaard gaan met het testen van software, van planning tot en met implementatie en de evaluatie van softwaretests. Nadat ze het eerste niveau hebben behaald, krijgen ze ook de mogelijkheid om verdere certificaten te behalen (geavanceerd en expert niveau). ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level certificering is relevant voor alle markten, bijvoorbeeld de auto-industrie, de financiële sector, de computer software en IT-industrie, medische technologie, telecommunicatie, de publieke sector en nog veel meer.
De partij die dit initiatief organiseert is DiversIT. Improve QS zal de training verzorgen en iSQI, BNTQB en ISTQB zullen samen de examens aanbieden en de examensessie voor de kandidaten organiseren. De training zal in Utrecht plaatsvinden waarbij 16 deelnemers voorzien zijn en gepland is vanaf 10 december 2018. De examens zullen door iSQI op de 14e worden afgenomen.
