iSQI certifications recognised as university credits!

iSQI (International Software Quality Institute) are delighted that certification offered by iSQI (ISTQB®, iSQI Scrum Master Pro and iSQI Certified Agile Tester) have been given “Recognition of Prior Learning” (RPL) status by the Charles Sturt University, Australia (CSU).

CSU ( and Planit Testing ( have agreed that candidates who hold these certifications will be eligible for credits towards the CSU IT Masters Degree. If a student takes and passes the ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level exam and one relevant ISTQB® Advanced course it is recognised as one full university credit towards their post graduate degree at CSU.

In addition, iSQI Scrum Master Pro and Certified Agile Tester certifications, will be accepted as alternatives to the CSU ITE 518 Agile Project Management module.

In a recent press release, James Pennefather, Director of Training at Planit Testing, stated, “The CSU IT Masters Program provides a great opportunity for the 2500 + Planit students who have already achieved these certifications to get a head start on their post graduate qualifications. From a Software Testing industry perspective, it’s wonderful to see Masters Degree students graduating with industry recognised workplace ready skills.”

CSU will award the following credit to Planit students that successfully complete the following training and industry certification combinations:

Planit training and certification packages Credit
ISTQB Foundation Certificate
AND one of the following:

  • ISTQB® Advanced Test Analyst Certificate OR
  • ISTQB® Advanced Test Manager Certificate OR
  • ISTQB® Advanced Security Tester Certificate
  • ISTQB® Advanced Test Automation Engineer Certificate


One subject of unspecified credit into
any of the following courses:

  • Master of Information Technology
    Including Graduate Diploma of Information Technology
  • Master of Business Administration (Computing)
    including Graduate Certificate in Business Administration (Computing)
  • Master of Cloud Computing and Virtualisation
    including Graduate Certificate in Cloud Computing and Virtualisation
  • Master of Cyber Security
    including Graduate Certificate in Cyber Security
  • Graduate Certificate in Industry Computing
  • Master of Information Systems Security
    including Graduate Certificate in Information Systems Security
  • Master of Management (Information Technology – with specialisations)
    including Graduate Certificate in Management (Information Technology)
  • Master of Networking and Systems Administration
    including Graduate Certificate in Networking and Systems Administration
  • Master of Project Management
    including Graduate Diploma of Project Management and Graduate Certificate in Project Management
iSQI Certified Agile Tester certification
AND iSQI Scrum Master Pro certification.
Credit for subject ITE518 Agile Project Management in any of the courses that it is offered.


Note: credits will be subject to annual review and subject is to CSU’s Recognition of Prior Learning regulations.
